Leith Stewart is one of Hong Kong’s most sought after paediatric occupational therapists, with a reputation built on empowering children to live, grow and be their best selves.
With more than 20 years of experience, including the past 13 years working with Hong Kong families, Leith helps children with special needs including developmental delays, Autism, Sensory processing disorder and behavioural problems by developing strategies to help them gain confidence at school, at home and in the playground.
Leith is an advocate for creating safe spaces for children. Inspired by this mission, she created Young Folk Therapy in 2019 - a holistic therapy centre which offers Occupational Therapy, Counselling, Speech & Language Therapy and Specialist Dyslexia Tutoring services in a calm, family friendly and supportive environment.
Leith is also passionate about working with parents, caregivers and teachers to provide children with plans that extend beyond the therapy room.
As a proponent of life-long learning, Leith is focused on continually evolving her practice with the most up to date therapeutic interventions, and has provided keynote addresses at workshops on topics including the importance of play-time versus screen time; tips for classroom behavioural issues, picky eaters, and motor planning challenges.
