Closure and Weather Policy

TYPHOON

When Typhoon signal No. 8 or above is hoisted before 8am:

  • Young Folk Therapy will be closed until the signal is lowered

  • Young Folk Therapy will reopen 2 hours after the signal No. 8 is lowered, if this takes effect by 2:00pm or earlier

  • If you are unsure whether your session will go ahead, please contact your therapist.

When Typhoon signal No. 8 or above is hoisted during office hours:

  • Young Folk Therapy will contact all clients to reschedule their appointments

  • Young Folk Therapy will be closed once all children have been safely collected. 

When Typhoon signal No. 3 is hoisted, all sessions will continue as per usual schedule. Normal cancellation policy will apply for any cancelled appointments.

RAINSTORM WARNINGS

When the Black Rain signal is hoisted before 8:00am:

  • Young Folk Therapy will be closed until the signal is lowered

  • Young Folk Therapy will reopen 2 hours after the Black Rain signal is lowered, if this takes effect by 2:00pm or earlier.

  • If you are unsure whether your session will go ahead, please contact your therapist.

When the Black Rain signal is hoisted during office hours:

  • Young Folk Therapy will cancel all sessions and reschedule when appropriate.

When the Amber and Red Rain signal is hoisted:

  • All sessions continue as per usual schedule.

Normal cancellation policy will apply for any cancelled appointments.

In the event of any adverse weather conditions, Young Folk Therapy may be closed at the discretion of the clinic manager.

GOVERNMENT CLOSURES

If the Government requires Young Folk Therapy to close for any reason, you will be immediately informed via telephone or email and your session will be rescheduled at the next available time. No cancellation fees will occur.
